NCC Ltd's shares slid 5.48% to ₹119.95 on the BSE after announcing a ₹1,286.03‑crore road construction contract in Telangana.
The Letter of Acceptance, issued by Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd, covers Package‑1 of Radial Road‑2 from Outer Ring Road near Budwel to Nacharam on NH‑167N, a 22‑km stretch that will be completed in 18 months.
This contract follows two September orders totalling ₹500.22 crore, and a ₹1,076.71‑crore order disclosed earlier on September 28, giving NCC a cumulative pipeline of over ₹2.8 crore in new work for the year.
Despite the order, NCC’s Q3 net profit fell 37% to ₹123 crore amid margin pressure, leading analysts to weigh the impact of the new contract against cost inflation.
NCC’s board has not issued new guidance, but the company expects the order to boost revenue in the next 18 months, with construction revenue projected to rise by 4‑5% YoY once the project starts.
