Pyramid Technoplast said on Wednesday it had secured an amended Consolidated Consent and Authorisation from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board, giving it the green light to receive, collect, store, transport and recycle industrial packaging waste from other firms.
Under the new authorization, the company can handle up to 960 MT of hazardous‑contaminated barrels, containers and liners each year, and produce up to 9,000 cleaned barrels, drums and containers per month for industrial use. That represents a jump from its existing 1,000 MT per month capacity for re‑processed plastic granules.
Shares responded positively, closing 1.38% higher at ₹159.97 – an increase of ₹2.18 on the day – as traders priced in the expanded recycling footprint and the potential for higher revenue streams.
The company’s Managing Director and Chairman Bijaykumar Agarwal said the amendment will allow it to serve third‑party industrial customers and integrate packaging waste management solutions. Investors will watch the next earnings release for revenue impact and any guidance on capital allocation.
