Renault India is targeting 500 showrooms by 2027, up from the 350 it currently operates. This jump comes after the launch of 50‑60 new touchpoints this year, a mix of showrooms and workshops that the company will keep adding as it rolls out fresh cars.
The brand will swell its model count from four to seven. Present‑day favourites – the Kwid, Kiger, Triber and Duster – will be joined by a seven‑seater SUV, a sub‑4‑m SUV built on the Bridger concept, and a third, still unnamed, addition. In a market where Tata and Hyundai are pushing larger SUVs, Renault’s new entrants aim to hit the sweet spot for families who need space but want a city‑friendly size.
Showroom strategy is shifting too. Instead of spreading thin, Renault will install smaller, tech‑savvy locations in prime city spots, a trend driven by rising rent and a buyer base that does most of its research online before stepping into a showroom. The new format will feature interactive displays that let you explore the full line‑up without needing a physical lot for every model.
Hybrids are getting front‑row seats. Renault’s E‑Tech hybrid will be localised for India, and the company sees it as the main volume engine for the next 10‑20 years, stepping over diesel as the green‑shift takes hold. Buyers who have been sceptical about diesel will find a credible, fuel‑efficient alternative that still delivers the power they need.
The rollout is set for a steady pace: 2024 will see the first new showrooms and the debut of the seven‑seater SUV, 2025 will bring the sub‑4‑m model to markets in the south and west, and 2026 will complete the network and launch the final, unnamed addition. By the end of 2027, every major city will host at least one Renault showroom, making the brand’s expanding catalogue more reachable than ever.
