Bittu said AAP workers tried to strike his convoy as he was en route to launch the BJP’s “Nasha Mukt Punjab” campaign.
He claimed senior Punjab Police officials present were colluding with the attackers, naming AAP MLA Kalsi as the mastermind.
The convoy was heading to Pathankot, where the BJP plans a 13‑day Yatra covering 117 constituencies and 4,000 km, under the leadership of national president Nitin Nabin.
Bittu went live on Instagram, saying some attackers had been apprehended, yet the police have not released any statements or filed an FIR.
The incident comes amid mounting political theatrics ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, with the BJP accusing the AAP government of failing to curb drug trafficking.
A police spokesperson said the case is under investigation and that any arrests will be announced once the matter is formally recorded.
