Pooja, 26, and her four-year-old son are dead after allegedly jumping into a well in the Hardila locality of Jakhaura town on Monday. Jakhaura Station House Officer Ram Prakash confirmed the incident, stating that police reached the scene upon alert and retrieved both bodies from the water. The two were immediately sent for post-mortem examination.
Prakash said the reason behind the alleged suicide is not yet known. He added that a formal investigation is underway to determine the cause. The bodies were recovered by local law enforcement before being handed over to the forensic process.
