Meta named Chirantan Desai chief of its Enterprise Platform in June 2026, after the company unveiled its AI‑powered personal agent Muse earlier this year. The move follows a rapid launch of Muse in Apple and Android stores, where it has climbed user charts.
Desai, 48, rose through the ranks of enterprise software, serving as President and CEO of MongoDB since November 2025 and previously steering product, AI and cloud initiatives at ServiceNow. His career has spanned EMC, ServiceNow, Cloudflare and MongoDB, giving him deep experience in full‑stack engineering, security and customer success.
Zuckerberg said Desai will harness Meta's AI, cloud and security stacks to craft sellable solutions for businesses, starting with Muse and the Meta Business Agent. The new platform will also feature coding tools and a business‑agent framework.
Industry observers say the move signals Meta's pivot from free consumer services to a subscription‑based revenue model; the company plans to launch a suite of enterprise tools in the third quarter, with a pilot program slated for select Fortune 500 firms.
