The AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award ceremony in Canberra on May 15 crowned Narelle Zanker, the dairy farmer from Mannum, as national winner.
Since launching Dairy Adventures in 2024 on a 4,000‑acre farm, Zanker has turned a working dairy into a living classroom that has welcomed more than 1,200 guests.
Visitors bottle‑feed calves, watch mechanised milking and learn biosecurity, offering a transparent look at food production.
Earlier that year, AgriFutures Australia awarded Zanker a $15,000 Westpac grant as South Australian winner, funding accessibility improvements and educational resources.
The new national grant of $20,000 will support a virtual classroom program and a children’s book, expanding Dairy Adventures nationwide.
