Gill matches Dhoni with a seventh Player of the Series honor as India defeats West Indies 2-1.
Gill’s 110 in the opening match and a blistering 233* in the second powered the hosts to a 351‑for‑7 target, clinching the series before the West Indies could catch up.
The turning point came in the second ODI when Gill’s unbeaten 233 turned a modest chase into a 100‑run victory, sealing the series early.
All seven awards were earned since 2022, a streak no other Indian has matched in that timeframe, underscoring Gill’s consistency in bilateral ODIs.
West Indies left a mark with Shai Hope’s 162* in the final match, their highest successful chase, proving the contest was hard‑fought.
With the series secured, India now gears up for the upcoming ICC World Cup qualifiers, where Gill will aim to keep his winning streak alive.
