According to the Wall Street Journal, Markus Persson, the creator of Minecraft, has put his 22,300‑sq‑ft Trousdale Estates house on the market for $70 million, the same amount he paid in 2014.
The eight‑bedroom, 15‑bathroom home features a private elevator, a professional recording studio, a drum room, and a club‑grade nightclub, according to the listing.
Persson, who sold Mojang to Microsoft for $2.5 billion in 2014, said he is "not in LA a lot these days" and is committed to selling, Christie’s Southern California agent Aaron Kirman reported.
If the listing goes under contract, it will rank as the second‑priciest residential transaction in Los Angeles County this year, trailing only Peter Thiel’s $130 million Bel‑Air estate.
The property sits on nearly an acre of land at Hillcrest Road, overlooking Downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean—a view that once drew Beyoncé and Jay‑Z into a bidding war.
