But the 14‑foot square of the new Seacrest Studio sits right in the lobby of the Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion, turning a waiting area into a stage where kids can chat, sing, and even become on‑air co‑hosts.
The studio was made possible by a generous grant from the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which has been building media centers across pediatric hospitals since 2020. Its first broadcast on 1 June 2026 featured Ryan himself, celebrity guests, and five kids who stepped into the spotlight to talk about their favorite games and hopes for recovery.
“We want every child to feel heard, especially those who speak Spanish,” said Ryan Seacrest, founder of the foundation. “This studio isn’t just a TV set; it’s a place where stories are shared, laughter echoes, and families can feel a moment of normalcy in a hospital setting.”
The hospital’s president, Matthew A. Love, added that the studio supports the center’s holistic care model. “It reminds our patients that their voices matter and their stories are worth sharing,” he said. “By giving them a platform, we’re boosting not just physical healing but emotional resilience.”
Families can tune in to the studio’s weekly shows—music, games, and interviews—both in‑person and online, and hospital staff are already using the space to reduce anxiety during routine procedures. If your child is in a pediatric unit, ask the staff about the Seacrest Studio; it might just be the extra boost they need to smile again.
