Groww added 101,000 new active clients in September, bumping its total to 13.45 million and raising its NSE market share to 29.16%, according to NSE data.
The 48% of the 673,000 net quarterly lift came from Groww alone, while Angel One added 37,000 and Dhan 13,624, leaving Zerodha and Upstox in decline.
Overall, NSE’s active client base climbed 673,000 in July‑September, from 45.45 million to 46.12 million, a 1.48% YoY rise that outpaces the 1.2% growth in the broader equity trading volume.
Higher client numbers usually translate to more orders and higher fee revenue; Groww’s 29.16% share could boost its brokerage margin beyond the sector median of 12%.
Analysts expect the trend to persist as retail investors seek low‑cost platforms; Groww’s upcoming earnings on November 15 will likely confirm whether the client gains convert into revenue growth.
