Shares of Adani Enterprises, listed on the NSE under ADANIENT, slid 0.6% to ₹2,475.50 after the company disclosed a 54.8% drop in PAT to ₹1,492 crore, erasing an exceptional ₹3,583 crore gain seen last year.
The company’s filing with the BSE shows Q2FY27 revenue of ₹37,215 crore, a 75.1% year‑on‑year increase from ₹23,006 crore in the same period last year. Analysts had forecast ₹33,000 crore, so revenue exceeded consensus by roughly 13%.
EBITDA rose 65.9% to ₹5,651 crore, but the margin contracted 80 basis points to 15.2% from 16.0% a year earlier, reflecting higher cost of sales amid a surge in copper and integrated resources revenue.
The copper segment alone generated ₹14,772 crore, a staggering 1,025% jump from ₹1,359 crore, while the Integrated Resources Management business added ₹7,097 crore versus ₹6,658 crore last year, signalling a shift in the company’s commodity mix.
In a capital‑market move, Adani Enterprises completed a ₹15,000 crore qualified institutional placement, issuing 5.2 crore shares at ₹2,883 each to institutional investors, a price 10% above the book value of ₹2,600.
With no forward guidance released, market participants are focusing on the company’s debt‑free trajectory and the impact of the copper surge on long‑term cash flows. The stock’s 0.6% decline reflects caution as investors weigh the dip in PAT against the impressive revenue growth.
