The September quarter was a breakout moment for Milky Mist. Net profit exploded to ₹77.94 crore, up 174.5% from ₹28.39 crore in the same period last year. It’s a massive leap that signals scale economies finally kicking in.
Revenue from operations jumped 41.6% to ₹1,089.4 crore, breaching the psychological ₹1,000 crore threshold for the first time. EBITDA followed suit, rising 49.9% to ₹157.47 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded 80 basis points to 14.5%, a clear indicator of improved cost management and pricing power despite agricultural inflation.
CEO K. Rathnam cited volume growth and demand for value-added products as key drivers. "Despite prevailing agricultural inflation, the impact of El Niño and geopolitical uncertainties, we have achieved higher revenue growth, improved margins and profitability," Rathnam said. Yogurt remains the fastest-growing category, boosted by recent capacity expansions. The company also launched high-protein lactose-free milk to diversify its portfolio.
On the board, Milky Mist Dairy Food shares closed 1.02% higher at ₹302.20 on Thursday. The stock has already gained over 65% in 2026, reflecting investor confidence in its trajectory. With margins expanding and the top line crossing the billion-rupee mark, the focus now shifts to sustaining this growth in a competitive dairy landscape.
Investors will be watching the next few quarters closely. Can Milky Mist maintain double-digit revenue growth while defending its 14.5% EBITDA margin? The launch of new protein-rich products suggests the company is targeting health-conscious consumers, a segment with higher margins. The coming earnings call will provide clarity on capacity utilization and future capex plans.
