A gunfire exchange inside an after‑hours strip club on a quiet Detroit street left the scene grim with bodies and blood.
Chief Todd Bettison said officers discovered three deceased men and four wounded individuals, two men and two women, all in their 20s and 30s.
The venue has been the subject of seven calls to police this year, according to Bettison, but the agency has yet to identify the assailants.
Mayor Mary Sheffield called on witnesses, urging community members to report any details to help bring justice to those affected.
Investigators are pursuing leads and will hold a press briefing on Monday to update the public.
