In August, TVS Motor Co shipped 14,641 Orbiter scooters to showrooms, a 25% slice of the 57,523 e‑scooters the company moved that month.
That makes the Orbiter the most affordable TVS e‑scooter, with ex‑showroom prices starting at ₹88,250 for the V1 and ₹105,000 for the V2.
The V1 packs a 1.8 kWh battery and promises 86 km on a single charge, while the V2 doubles the pack to 3.1 kWh for a 158 km run. Both use a BLDC motor and offer Eco and City modes, with 0‑40 km/h in 6.3 s (V1) and 6.8 s (V2).
The Orbiter sits just below the flagship iQube, but it competes directly with the Ather Konarc at ₹99,000, Hero Vida VX2 Go at ₹95,000, and Ola S1X at ₹84,999. While the Konarc has a slightly larger battery, the Orbiter’s lower price and decent range make it a sharper value bet.
With 14,641 units, the Orbiter accounts for a quarter of TVS’s e‑scooter output, pushing the company’s total sales to 57,523 units—only 1,863 shy of July’s 59,386. The model’s performance has helped TVS capture a 108% year‑on‑year rise in wholesale sales for the first five months of FY2027.
The Orbiter will remain available nationwide from next month, with showrooms already stocking both variants. Buyers should watch the price roll‑off for the Konarc and any updates to the iQube’s battery options, as those changes could shift the value equation.
