NDTV’s World Summit 2026, scheduled for 22‑23 Oct in New Delhi, will feature Philip Green, Australia’s High Commissioner, as a speaker on the first day.
Green’s résumé reads like a diplomatic résumé‑of‑the‑year: former High Commissioner to Germany, Singapore, South Africa and Kenya, he earned the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2002 for his role in the Bali response, and later advised Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in international affairs.
On the summit stage, he will sit beside Jean‑Eric Paquet, the EU Ambassador to India, for a session titled “The West, Rewired: The New Transatlantic Order.” The two will dissect how the EU‑US axis is reshaping global trade, security, and climate policy.
The event’s theme, “A World Between Orders,” signals a pivot from rigid blocs to hybrid alliances, and the dialogue between Green and Paquet is expected to feed into India’s own Indo‑Pacific strategy.
Following the keynotes, a panel debate will engage EU officials and Indian policymakers, setting the groundwork for future Indo‑European cooperation ahead of the 2027 Indian general elections.
