Transrail Lighting's NSE-listed shares leapt 10.3% to an intraday high of ₹498, trading at ₹477.65 as of 3:14 pm, up 5.8% from the previous close.
The rally follows a filing that revealed fresh contracts worth ₹574 crore, primarily in the domestic Transmission & Distribution segment. The company’s cumulative order intake for the year climbed to ₹1,609 crore, with an additional ₹694 crore in L1 bids. Capacity has been scaled up—conductor output now 40,800 KMPA, up 70%, and tower production doubled to 172,400 MT per annum.
Randeep Narang, Managing Director and CEO, said the wins underscore the firm’s engineering and execution prowess. He added that the strong bidding pipeline and expanded manufacturing base position the firm for significant opportunities for sustainable growth.
Despite the surge, the stock remains 14% down year‑to‑date and 34% off its 12‑month peak, reflecting broader market volatility. Within the T&D sector, peers have reported mixed revenue streams, while Transrail’s focus on HTLS conductors may give it a niche edge.
The company plans to report its Q3 results on Oct 15, with guidance expected to build on the current order momentum. Investors are watching whether the 70% capacity expansion will translate into higher margins in the next fiscal cycle.
