Sreeja Koya, a 23‑year‑old Indian national, disappeared from her apartment in Dorchester's Edison Green block at about 9:45 p.m. on November 2, according to the Boston Police Department.
Koya had just returned from a friend’s birthday celebration and was last seen walking toward Carson Beach. She was described as 5'4”, thin, with black hair, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
The family, based in Telangana’s Nalgonda district, has been anxiously awaiting updates. They moved to Boston a year ago to support her master's studies at UMass Boston.
Police have issued a missing‑person alert and are asking anyone who may have seen her or knows her whereabouts to call 911 or contact District C‑11 detectives at (617) 343‑4335.
Investigators are focusing on Carson Beach and Harbor Point, where Koya might have sought refuge.
