The 'Hikma Sehath Care Centre' in Golconda reportedly treated patients with conditions ranging from breathing difficulties to kidney pain, issuing prescriptions that were later found to be unlabelled and potentially dangerous.
Police said Adnan, his mother Saba Khan alias Mohammadi Begum, and brother Mohd Faizan presented themselves as hereditary ‘hakeems’, presenting false credentials and gaining patients' trust, according to statements from the Golconda Police.
During the raid, authorities seized a large quantity of powders and bottles, prescription books, and a Facebook page titled 'Dr Adnan Official' that promoted the clinic's services on social media.
A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act; the mother and brother remain at large, and police are seeking their whereabouts.
The investigation is still ongoing, with officials indicating that further evidence will be examined before filing charges and determining the extent of the clinic's violations.
