During the Instagram AMA, Gandhi expanded his criticism of the RSS, saying that men who don brown shorts, white shirts and regard themselves as superior to women represent a dangerous cultural trend.
He called the group an "all‑male, anti‑constitutional cult" and said "I believe in Shiva‑Shakti," contrasting it with what he sees as the RSS's misogynistic ideology.
Earlier on Oct. 10, Gandhi had posted on X that RSS "goons" had harmed women protesters and youths amid the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, accusing Amit Shah's Delhi Police of enabling the violence.
The Congress leader also labeled RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat a "villain" and urged demonstrators to keep pressure on the BJP, adding, "Arrest us all. We are surrounding you and will not back down."
The remarks come as Congress seeks to galvanize youth for upcoming elections, and lawmakers are monitoring the response from BJP‑led authorities for potential legal action.
The BJP has yet to respond, but opposition parties have called for a nationwide protest march on Nov. 15 to counter the RSS’s influence.
