During a Saturday sweep of discarded items along DDU Marg, officers from Delhi Police encountered a wooden crate at the foot of Kali Mata Mandir.
Inside lay a skeletal frame composed of synthetic bone segments, a forensic analyst confirmed the material was non-human; no blood traces were detected.
The scrap source traced back to Government Boys Senior Secondary School on Mata Sundari Road, where the institution vacated its old premises in 2023 and disposed of debris in July 2026.
Principal of the former school told officers that the items were earmarked for educational use before being tagged as scrap during the municipal cleanup.
BJP vice president Rajesh Bhatia asserted that the discovery was a harmless remnant of school supplies, and police have closed the file with no offence recorded.
