Delhi Police arrested a girl student from a Delhi school after she sent a hoax bomb threat email on Oct 23.
The email, titled "Bombs Placed in Your Building", was received by the school on the day, triggering an immediate response from the Cyber Police Station in South Delhi.
Cyber Police traced the email’s origin to a student of the same school, leading to her apprehension within hours of the threat.
Police officials said they examined digital evidence and confirmed the source before detaining the student.
Under the Juvenile Justice Act, the student will face legal action as a child in conflict with law. The case will be heard in the child‑safety court next month.
