The revision exercise has already issued more than 31 lakh notices to voters. As of September 21, the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer recorded 3,04,684 Form‑6 applications for inclusion, 52,955 Form‑7 objections to entries, and 2,94,121 Form‑8 requests for corrections.
Congress president Devendra Yadav told reporters that many Delhi residents had not received notices, while BJP leader Nalin Kohli defended the process, stressing the need to keep the roll accurate and inclusive. AAP has claimed that Arvind Kejriwal and his family were missing from the list, but the Commission clarified that a notice does not mean exclusion.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to a transparent, participative revision, tweeting that "no eligible citizen is left out while no ineligible person is included." It has extended similar deadlines in other states, and Delhi parties are seeking the same treatment.
The claims period is set to close on September 30, with disposal of notices expected by October 29 and the final roll slated for publication on November 4. The Commission has yet to formally announce the revised deadline, but a decision is expected soon.
