In Gaya, a young couple riding a motorcycle was surrounded by a group of men, who shouted insults, took the motorcycle key, and forced them to stop, according to witnesses.
A video of the confrontation has gone viral on social media, allegedly posted by a group known as ‘Aryan’, sparking public outcry.
Sherghati Station House Officer Pramod Kumar said the police are investigating the footage and will act against the accused once identities are established.
Similar harassment incidents have surfaced recently in Jamui, Samastipur, Banka, and Kishanganj, prompting state authorities to monitor the situation.
The police plan to file charges after identifying the individuals and will likely conduct a raid on the suspected group’s base.
The couple, who had been visiting a hill near Mahuadih with a friend, described the incident as terrifying and said they fear for their safety.
