In 2014, a Utah couple commissioned a $2 million backyard pool in Springville that stretches 140 feet long and 60 feet wide, holding 360,000 gallons of water. The centerpiece is a 90‑foot artificial mountain that mimics the local landscape, complete with five waterfalls, winding pathways, and two bridges that climb toward the summit.
A 54‑foot underwater tunnel—five feet wide—descends to 26 feet below the surface, allowing certified divers to practice without leaving home.
Inside the mountain, a full kitchen with granite countertops, stainless‑steel cabinets, a refrigerator and an eight‑burner grill offers a culinary escape for guests.
Animal Planet’s ‘The Pool Master,’ hosted by designer Anthony Archer‑Wills, showcased the project, and Scuba Diving magazine highlighted it as an example of hobby‑centric pool design.
