Shares of Power Mech Projects slid 1.55% to ₹2,370.85 on the BSE as the company confirmed a new operations‑and‑maintenance contract.
The contract, worth ₹279.20 crore, covers comprehensive O&M of mechanical, electrical, control‑and‑instrumentation systems, ash handling, and coal handling plant at Yadadri Thermal Power Station.
It spans three years, with a price‑variation clause kicking in the second and third years, and excludes GST.
Earlier this year, Power Mech secured a ₹970 crore O&M deal with Vedanta Power for its 2x600‑MW Sakti Thermal plant, and a ₹3,126 crore battery‑storage order from WBSEDCL, underscoring its growing portfolio in the O&M space.
Despite the sizeable contract, shares dipped as investors weighed margin compression and the company’s guidance, which did not include a revised profit outlook for Q4.
