Russia unleashed a barrage of 212 drones, four cruise missiles and several Oniks ballistic missiles against a string of Ukrainian oil, gas and industrial sites overnight, killing four civilians and wounding six, according to Governor Oleksandr Hanzha.
The strikes hit Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Pavlohrad in Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv's energy plant and Poltava's refinery, cutting power to almost 100,000 residents.
The assault came as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy toured Washington, where former President Donald Trump urged both sides to halt attacks on fuel infrastructure.
Ukrainian forces replied by striking Russian oil refineries and major online retailers; a drone hit the Samara region, killing one and injuring four, Governor said.
Russia's defence ministry reported that it destroyed 297 Ukrainian drones over Russia overnight, while Kyiv plans to bring the conflict to the UN Security Council next month.
