SANY unveiled the 5565E electric tractor at Bauma Conexpo India 2026. The model carries a 462‑kWh battery, the largest yet in the company’s lineup, and offers a payload that can be tuned for both heavy lifting and material handling.
Alongside the tractor, SANY rolled out the 3555E electric tipper, also armed with a 462‑kWh battery. Both machines share a common platform, which means spare parts, software and maintenance procedures can be reused across models, cutting operational complexity for fleets.
The showcase highlighted an entire wave of electrification: an electric excavator SY215E, a wheel loader SW936E, a mining truck SKT115E and a tipper 7540E. All come with battery packs that can be swapped or recharged on site, a feature that will appeal to operators who need to keep downtime to a minimum.
SANY India’s vice‑chairman Deepak Garg said the push into electric equipment comes as India’s construction sector looks to reduce carbon footprints and cut fuel costs. The firm’s Chakan, Pune plant—worth more than ₹1,000 crore—will play a key role in mass‑producing these machines.
With 42 dealers and over 260 touchpoints across the country, SANY is already delivering more than 45,000 machines to India and South Asia. The new electric models are expected to hit the market later in 2026, first in the metros before rolling out to smaller cities.
For buyers, the shift means a new generation of machines that can run on a single charge for most of a day’s work, cutting the need for diesel generators and allowing operators to meet stricter emissions guidelines. The 462‑kWh battery pack is a significant step forward in the sector’s quest for greener, cost‑effective solutions.
