The ITMS will deploy 1,092 adaptive traffic control sites that adjust signal timing in real time and 1,029 enforcement points that flag red‑light, speeding and illegal parking violations, powered by AI analytics that can flag stolen or black‑listed vehicles.
Emergency vehicles will gain green corridors; ambulances can trigger a priority mode that clears traffic, while Delhi Police will receive instant incident alerts to deploy diversions.
C‑DAC will act as project manager, overseeing a master integrator chosen through bidding, with a secure data centre and disaster recovery infrastructure; the system will use open APIs for future expansion.
