CCTV footage from Ludhiana’s Main Street shows Ritish Sharma slapping and grabbing Twinkle by the hair outside their home on the night of October 21. Alarmed by her screams, neighbors rushed out and pulled her to safety, the video posted online by Twinkle later.
The couple, who married in November 2025, had known each other since Twinkle’s divorce proceedings about two years ago. Sharma, a healthcare worker, had been demanding a Mahindra Thar three months after the wedding, sparking daily quarrels that eventually required a mediator to broker a settlement. Twinkle had also asked him for a motorcycle, adding fuel to the tension.
When the dispute over the bike escalated that evening, Twinkle fled to a neighbor’s house for protection. Sharma followed her and began thrashing her, dragging her onto the road before the police arrived. The incident is now under formal investigation.
Twinkle has filed a formal complaint with the Ludhiana Police and shared the CCTV footage as evidence. The authorities have opened a case file and are preparing to charge Sharma under the Indian Penal Code.
The case adds to the growing number of domestic‑violence reports in Punjab, where police are urged to act swiftly on assault complaints. A hearing is scheduled for the next week to determine the preliminary charges and potential bail.
