Navdeep Rinwa, chief electoral officer of Uttar Pradesh, announced that the Election Commission will re‑poll three booths in the Agra Division Teachers’ Constituency on Monday, October 26, 2026. The decision follows the annulment of the October 23 vote under Section 58A(2)(a) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, after irregularities were flagged.
The re‑poll will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Polling Station No. 20 Tehsil Campus, Kheragarh; Polling Station No. 21 Kshetra Panchayat Office, Saiyan; and Polling Station No. 26 Kshetra Panchayat Office, Fatehabad. Election Commission directives require all arrangements—polling staff, security, and indelible ink—to be in place before the start time.
Rinwa ordered that any individuals found responsible for the irregularities will be barred from participation during the re‑poll. The Divisional Commissioner of Agra will conduct an inquiry and submit a report to the Election Commission by October 25, 2026, and police personnel involved will face accountability.
Once the three booths conclude voting, the Election Commission will be asked to approve the commencement of vote counting. A local teacher from Kheragarh, who was denied a ballot at the first vote, will be among the first to cast her ballot in the re‑poll.
