
Farhan Sahibzada has been named Pakistan's T20I captain for the upcoming three‑match series against Sri Lanka. The PCB dropped former T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha from the squad, but he remains in the ODI camp.
Farhan led the Pakistani side to a silver medal at the 2026 Asian Games—falling 19 runs short to India in the gold‑medal match.
The 15‑man squad features Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Arafat Minhas, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Nawaz, Khawaja Nafay (wk), Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Muhammad Imran Randhawa, Naseem Shah, Razaullah, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Moqim.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will keep the reins in ODIs, leading Pakistan into the seven‑match tri‑series with England and Sri Lanka.
The T20I series kicks off on 9 October at Rawalpindi, with the final game on 13. The ODI tri‑series starts on 18 October, moving to Lahore for the last four matches, including the final on 31 October.
