The video, recorded on Monday evening, shows a young man relieving himself directly toward the lift’s control panel.
The clip captures a brief, uncomfortable moment when the elevator doors open and another resident approaches, sees the act, and immediately steps back. The man in question continues his journey and exits the lift as if nothing happened.
The footage has since exploded across social media, with users questioning the basic decency of the act. One user, Ankither, called it "absolutely disgusting and unacceptable," while others speculated the man might have been intoxicated, though no evidence supports this claim.
The Apartment Owners’ Association (AOA) has taken notice, with residents pressing for concrete steps to address hygiene violations in shared spaces. Greater Noida West’s official Twitter handle also shared the clip, adding to the public scrutiny.
The AOA is expected to announce disciplinary measures or legal action against the individual in the coming days, as the incident highlights broader concerns about decorum in high-density residential complexes.
