Pulkit Mani Cancels Three Shows After Threats Over Rahul Gandhi Mimicry

Pulkit Mani cancelled three planned comedy shows in Noida, Lucknow and Kanpur on Monday after receiving threats linked to a mimicry act he performed with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Indore.

The Noida show had already been called off earlier in the week, Mani said on Instagram that it was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances". The last-minute decision left fans in the city with no show.

The Indore event, billed as the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ rally, saw Mani and Gandhi perform a brief skit that imitated Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A clip posted by the Congress party on X shows Mani laughing, hugging Gandhi and then mimicking Modi’s signature gestures, sparking a swift backlash from the BJP.

In a follow‑up post, Mani wrote that the Lucknow and Kanpur performances were cancelled because of "repeated threats from goon activists". He has shared screenshots of messages he claims to have received, but no police report has been filed yet. The comedian has not announced whether he will resume performances after the threats subside.
