CCTV footage from Surat Railway Station shows the three men sprinting across the platform at 1:31 am, leaping into a general coach as the train pulled in, after firing at Tiger Shroff's vehicle in Mumbai.
They arrived in Surat on a Maharashtra‑registered taxi, receiving a collective advance of ₹50,000 to carry out the attack, according to police officials on the scene.
Shroff himself escaped unharmed, but his driver and an autorickshaw driver sustained injuries from the gunfire. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde condemned the attack, vowing that “bullets will be answered with bullets” and warned against gang wars in Mumbai.
The suspects were seized in Kota, Rajasthan, while traveling on the Pune‑Jaipur Express. Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam said the men had planned to head to Delhi and then flee to Nepal. They will now be transferred to Mumbai Police for trial, with the firearms yet to be recovered.
