Three men, Rehan alias Sukka from Haryana, Hrithik Kurmi alias Roshan Fighter from Bihar, and Phool Singh from Rajasthan, were taken into custody by Mumbai Police after they fired at Tiger Shroff’s vehicle on Saturday night. The actor, who was seated in the front seat, escaped unharmed, while his driver and a bystander sustained injuries.
The attackers had been planning to flee to Nepal via Delhi, boarding a train to the capital before the shootout. Hrithik, who had worked as a Rapido bike‑taxi driver, had used the service to conduct reconnaissance on Shroff’s house under the guise of a normal ride.
Police deployed 20 special teams from the Crime Branch and relied on CCTV footage to trace the stolen bike to Andheri West Railway Station. Technical analysis revealed the trio’s path toward northern Mumbai, then onto a Pune‑Jaipur Express, leading to their capture in Kota.
Rapido said the rider was inactive on its platform since 14 October and had recently used its services as a customer. Actor Tiger Shroff was taken to a hospital with a bandaged arm, and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met him on a hospital visit.
Anil Pandit of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility, while the trio is now in custody awaiting prosecution. Police will file charges and the case is slated for a preliminary hearing next month.
