The Noida Authority gave the green light to the revised master layout of its flagship Sports City project in Sector 150 on May 6, 2026, following board meetings on January 3 and April 6 and a 28‑day objection window that opened on February 11. The plan, filed by the developer on January 2 with the required fee, retained 70 percent of the site for sports, recreation and open spaces, while residential land rose to 29.5 percent and commercial use was capped at 0.5 percent.
The Sports Authority of India vetted the proposed facilities, issuing a compliance report dated June 10, 2026, that confirmed the design met national standards. A building plan for plot SC‑02/G was approved on June 9, and the Authority is processing plans for the remaining plots.
Financially, the developer and its consortium partners paid 20 percent of outstanding dues within two months of the layout approval, and the Authority secured a first charge over 20 percent of units as collateral. Four projects—Brick Rise Developers SC‑02/H I, Ace Infracity SC‑02/F, Land Kart Builders SC‑02/A‑1 and Samridhi Infra Square SC‑02/D—received conditional occupancy certificates after clearing 100 percent of their dues.
The project, which now hosts around 8,000 homebuyers, has been under judicial scrutiny for alleged land allotment irregularities and delayed sports facilities. The Supreme Court has received an affidavit from the Authority detailing compliance, while the Uttar Pradesh Public Accounts Committee cleared all CAG observations on August 29, 2024 and lifted a development ban imposed in January 2021. With the legal hold removed, the Authority expects to advance construction milestones in the coming months and deliver the promised sports complex to the community.
