Four men were taken into custody after police confirmed the murder of 23‑year‑old Shahid Hussain in southeast Delhi's Kalindi Kunj.
The killing unfolded at Shriram Chowk on Wednesday when Hussain, riding a scooter, was chased by a group of men on a motorbike and stabbed repeatedly, as captured by a CCTV camera.
Hussain had just been released from Tihar Jail earlier this week, and police say the attack stemmed from a longstanding feud that began with a confrontation inside the jail in 2025.
The suspects, identified as Karan alias Karam Shah, Abuzar, Monu Malik alias Sabir and Gaurav Gumma, were apprehended at their residences in the Kalindi Kunj area, while three others—Tarun alias Ranjan, Aman and Raja—remain at large.
Kalindi Kunj police station is conducting raids to locate the absconding offenders and recover the blade used in the assault, according to a senior officer.
The victim's family, who lives in Jamia Nagar, are demanding swift justice while the neighborhood watches the police’s progress.
