Jensen Ackles, best known for his role as Dean Winchester on "Supernatural", turned hobby brewing into a business when he and his family bought a 15‑acre plot in Dripping Springs, Texas, in 2017.
The site opened as Family Business Beer Co. in January 2018, featuring a taproom, outdoor play area, live‑music stage, and a food truck run by Duck Dynasty personalities.
In May 2024, the company announced that it would cease public operations at the Dripping Springs location to focus on distribution across Texas, citing a strategy to scale the brand beyond a single venue.
The brewery will keep producing its rotating IPAs, including the Supe Juice Hazy IPA, and will supply the beer to retailers and partners in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, according to the company’s website.
Local beer enthusiasts say the move will reduce community events but provide wider access to the brand, and the family hopes the shift will allow them to support more regional establishments.
