Police in Indore said Friday that 22‑year‑old Pranjal Thakral was taken into custody as the 11th suspect in the plot that saw two men fire at Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu on Oct. 18.
The attack hit Shroff as he was leaving a football match at Pushpa Narsee Park; the assailants fled on a motorcycle, abandoned it in Andheri, then headed to Surat and later boarded the Pune‑Jaipur Express.
Thakral, a diploma‑holding engineer, had earlier been jailed for a Panipat shoot‑out ordered by alleged gang chief Anil Pandit. He was released on bail in March and immediately re‑engaged in conspiracy against the actor.
Investigators say Pandit, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and reportedly based in the U.S., orchestrated the plot, sending Thakral to secure logistics, funds and a second pistol. The duo used a covert messaging app to evade police.
Police seized Thakral’s phone, extracted chat logs and traced financial transfers that may expose Pandit’s overseas network. He remains in custody until Oct. 31, with the Crime Branch preparing to pursue the mastermind abroad.
