Vijay Deverakonda isn't just a husband; he’s a hype machine for his wife’s career. He recently reshared the teaser for Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film Mysaa on his Instagram Stories, dropping a caption that reads, "Mysaaaa. What is this wildness? This is terrific." It’s a rare moment of public vulnerability mixed with professional support, showing just how invested he is in her creative choices beyond their shared projects like Geetha Govindam.
The reason for this unusual domestic pause? Rashmika suffered a hip injury while shooting a song sequence for the film. The subsequent break forced a hiatus from the sets, which, ironically, became the blessing in disguise for the couple. They hadn’t spent more than a few hours together since their February 26 wedding in Udaipur. Their schedules were so chaotic that they were essentially living parallel lives, connected only by phone calls.
Rashmika opened up about this shift in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, describing the situation as the universe hitting the pause button. "We didn’t get to see each other for three months after the wedding," she admitted. "This was the universe’s way of saying, calm down, I will keep you at home now." The unexpected downtime allowed them to bond over their differing tastes—he prefers serious dramas, she’s hooked on K-dramas—and she claims she’s already managed to convert him to her side of the streaming fence.
Back to the film itself. Mysaa is the directorial debut of Rawindra Pulle, produced under the Unformula Films banner. The cast is stacked with recognizable faces from the Telugu industry, including Eshwari Rao, Rahul Ravindran, Samuthirakani, Rao Ramesh, Tarak Ponnappa, and Nidhi Singh. With Vijay’s public backing and Rashmika’s fresh energy, the film is set to hit theatres on November 27. For now, the couple is enjoying the quiet, but fans can expect them to reunite on screen again in Ranabaali, scheduled for release on October 16.
