BJP captured Agra, Meerut, Bareilly‑Moradabad, Gorakhpur‑Faizabad and Lucknow teachers' seats, while SP triumphed in Varanasi Teachers, Allahabad‑Jhansi graduates, and the contested Varanasi Graduates' constituency.
Hari Singh Dhillon of BJP won Bareilly‑Moradabad by 17,676 votes, collecting 21,672 votes to Danish Akhtar’s 3,996, according to returning officer Shambhu Kumar. In Lucknow teachers, Umesh Dwivedi edged Sushil Kumar by 6,992 votes, 13,179 to 8,371.
Violence allegations surfaced when SP president Akhilesh Yadav posted a video of candidate Akash Agrawal wearing a torn kurta, claiming he was assaulted. Agrawal’s supporters demanded that the BJP explain the alleged mistreatment.
Independent Rajiv Yadav of Gorakhpur‑Faizabad disputes the count, asserting that roughly 1,000 votes were siphoned. Yadav has requested a forensic audit of the 1,612 votes from the fourth round and threatens to file a petition with the Election Commission.
The Election Commission will review all ballots and announce the final results on Monday. Both parties are preparing to file legal challenges if necessary, as the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections loom.
