Shadrack Emmanuel, a 41‑year‑old from Kodakkal in Kannur, vanished in Israel on Oct 16 after a final 8:49 pm text to his wife—his last digital footprint. He had been working abroad for a year and a half, first with an Israeli firm in Tel Aviv, then moving to UCT Liquid Solution Company in Nof HaGalil near Nazareth.
The family, startled by the sudden silence, mailed a formal complaint to the Indian Embassy in Israel on Oct 21, demanding help in locating him. They also filed a missing‑person report with Mangaluru Police Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Reddy.
The case was escalated to higher officials: Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chowta and Karnataka Minister UT Khader, who pledged to intervene on the family's behalf.
Indian authorities have opened an investigation and are coordinating with Israeli counterparts, while the family keeps a close eye on any new developments.
If found, Shadrack could be returned home, but officials are preparing for a thorough search and legal procedures.
In the meantime, his wife in Mangalore remains on edge, waiting for any sign that her husband is safe.
