Krishnendu Paul, Assam’s Public Health Engineering Minister and BJP state chief, declared Congress a ‘dimagi naxal’ on Monday, announcing counter‑rallies across India from Oct 22 to Nov 5.
Paul said the first of these will take place at Sribhumi on Oct 30, drawing an estimated 25,000‑30,000 youths to the school‑ground venue, while earlier demos in Nalbari, Jagiroad and Dibrugarh are already underway.
He slammed Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on democracy, citing the 1975 Emergency and warning that the Congress still practices dynastic politics.
Paul defended the NEP and highlighted schemes like Nijut Moina that provide financial aid to girl students, arguing that these initiatives underpin the BJP’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.
Looking ahead to the 2029 Lok Sabha polls, Paul foresees Modi’s fourth term, with the BJP poised to win more than 400 seats and the opposition’s narrative losing traction.
The next rally on Oct 30 will see 25,000‑30,000 participants, setting the tone for the BJP’s nationwide mobilisation campaign that is slated to continue through early November.
