Tarun Chaudhary, a train operator with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, filed a police complaint on Oct. 20 after noticing two black‑and‑white A4 posters pasted on a seat of an Airport Express train between New Delhi and Yashobhoomi stations.
The posters carried slogans such as "You Can Change Your Own Life" and "Voting Protest," and listed nine claims about recent governmental changes. A QR code linked to an online group, inviting commuters to join, was also printed on the paper.
According to the FIR, Chaudhary removed the posters and reported the incident to his senior officers and the Operations Control Centre. He was subsequently directed to hand the evidence over to the station controller at Dwarka Sector 21, who informed Delhi Police.
Delhi Police Special Cell has taken over the investigation, seeking to identify the individual or group responsible for the posters. Authorities are also probing whether the posters violated existing rules on political content in public transport.
The case remains open; police officials have indicated that further inquiries may lead to criminal charges under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code if the posters' author is located.
