Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar unveiled the common pass at the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan, buying one‑day tickets to demo the integrated system.
The new pass lets passengers travel on Hyderabad Metro and TGSRTC buses without buying separate tickets, and can be bought at any metro station.
Vikramarka said the initiative is part of a ₹52,000‑crore development drive that includes roads, flyovers, bridges, and an expansion of the metro by 122 km, costing about ₹38,000 crore.
The city already operates 550 electric buses, with plans for 2,200 more, and the government has earmarked ₹200 crore to convert diesel autorickshaws to electric.
The Ministry plans to roll out the pass citywide next month, with ridership data expected to inform future expansions and encourage commuters to ditch private vehicles.
