On 14 January 2026, the second chapter of The Store opened on the ground floor of TriStar Centennial Medical Center, a free grocery for families in need. Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams‑Paisley, who also co‑founded the original Belmont University‑based store, joined the hospital’s CEO, Dr. Maya Patel, and city officials for a ribbon‑cutting ceremony.
The original store, launched on 12 March 2020 amid a tornado outbreak and just before the COVID‑19 pandemic, pivoted to curbside pickup and home delivery to serve the 2,200 families it helped that year. The experience of volunteering at Unity Shoppe in Santa Barbara inspired the family to create a model that treats recipients with dignity by letting them choose the groceries they need.
In August 2024, the Paisleys announced a $5 million fundraising push for the new site, committing the first $1 million to construction and operations. TriStar Centennial’s leadership said that hospital staff had been spending personal funds to help patients obtain food, and the partnership aims to formalize that support. The grocery will occupy a floor space nearly three times larger than the Belmont location, allowing the nonprofit to double its capacity.
The expanded store will also offer emergency clothing, nutrition counseling, cooking classes, and financial planning. According to the organization, 3,100 volunteers supported its work in 2025, helping stock shelves and assist shoppers. By 2027, The Store plans to open a third site and will continue to link food assistance with healthcare services.
