Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini sealed MoUs worth Rs 5,500 crore with 13 Singapore companies on Tuesday, closing a three‑day investment drive that began on Sunday.
The agreements target high‑tech sectors such as semiconductors, green energy, warehousing and infrastructure, promising to position Haryana as a new hub for Global Capability Centres.
Additional MoUs were signed in niche areas: Rs 3,000 crore for health and wellness, Rs 1,500 crore for water treatment, and Rs 1,000 crore for education, each aimed at modernising hospitals, water‑management systems and skill‑development centers.
Saini also met Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, discussing wider cooperation on urban development, technology innovation and youth employment. The dialogue highlighted shared priorities in sustainability and digital infrastructure.
Implementation of the MoUs will begin in the next quarter, with state officials setting up joint venture committees. If the projects proceed, Haryana could see a 15‑percent rise in manufacturing jobs and a surge in skilled‑labor demand across the region.
