If you've been eyeing a panoramic sunroof but balked at the sticker price of top-spec variants, the market just shifted in your favor. Between ₹9.72 lakh and ₹13 lakh, six SUVs now come with a glass roof as standard, meaning you don't have to stretch your budget to the max to get that open-air feel. The most affordable entry point is the Tata Nexon Pure Plus PS at ₹9.72 lakh, which is one step above the base model. You can choose between a turbo-petrol manual, a 6-speed AMT, or even a diesel and CNG option, giving you a lot of flexibility for that price tag.
Right above it sits the Mahindra XUV 3XO REVX Edge (O) at ₹9.89 lakh. This is a relatively new variant that keeps the price under the ten-lakh mark while offering both petrol and diesel engines with manual and automatic options. It’s a practical choice if you want the panoramic roof without crossing into higher price brackets. Then there’s the Kia Syros HTK Plus, priced at ₹10.76 lakh. The Syros is interesting because the panoramic sunroof is available across all its powertrains, so you aren't locked into a specific engine just to get the roof.
Moving up a bit, the MG Astor Shine starts at ₹11.34 lakh. But here’s a catch: it only comes with two airbags and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a manual gearbox. The Astor hasn't had a major refresh in a while, so it might feel a bit dated compared to the newer entries. The Tata Curvv Creative X follows at ₹12.91 lakh. After a lineup revision, the panoramic sunroof moved down to this trim, which comes with a strong tech and safety package. You’ll get the standard turbo-petrol or diesel, but the more powerful Hyperion turbo-petrol isn't available here.
At the top of this specific list is the Hyundai Creta EX(O) at ₹12.97 lakh. The 2025 update added the panoramic sunroof and LED reading lamps to this trim. Depending on the engine, the price can go up to ₹15.96 lakh, but the cheapest automatic with a sunroof is the petrol EX(O) CVT at ₹14.37 lakh. Keep in mind that all these prices are ex-showroom, so on-road costs will be higher. A panoramic sunroof is a nice bonus, but in India's heat and dust, it adds little practical value. Focus on airbags, engine choice, and safety equipment first, and treat the glass roof as a cherry on top.
