Ampere scooters now have more than 600 Experience Centers across the country, a figure that speaks louder than any glossy brochure can. The company says the move doubles its presence from about 300 outlets a year ago, making the brand’s showroom network the largest among Indian electric scooter players.
The spread is nationwide: Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan in the north; West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand in the east; Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat in the west; and the full southern belt—Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala—now host a dedicated Ampere hub.
For the everyday rider, that translates to a test‑drive a few kilometres from home and a battery‑swap or maintenance visit that won’t require a trip to a distant city. The company’s “Experience Centers” are designed to showcase the scooter’s features, provide on‑spot financing, and house a service bay, all aimed at reducing the friction that often deters first‑time EV buyers.
Ola Electric, Ather, and TVS are already building a network of showrooms and service depots, but Ampere’s aggressive push signals that the competition is not just about power or range—they’re fighting for touch‑point dominance. A larger footprint can also help the brand capture the growing pool of first‑time buyers eyeing low‑cost, zero‑emission commutes.
The expansion comes at a time when the Indian government has rolled out several incentives for electric vehicles, including duty exemptions on batteries and subsidies for charging infrastructure. By cementing a larger presence, Ampere is lining up to take full advantage of these policies, ensuring that its dealers can offer the best combination of price, service, and support.
The rollout kicked off during the Navratri festive season, a period that sees spikes in retail traffic. The company plans to keep adding centres throughout 2026 and 2027, with a focus on tier‑two cities where the demand for affordable electric mobility is surging. As the network grows, buyers can look forward to a smoother ownership experience that matches the promise of the Ampere scooter’s low‑maintenance, high‑utility design.
